What is Story Behavior?
Stories have been described as magical, alchemical, and powerful—and they are—but this language suggests that creating a story is a mysterious process. Although it may seem elusive, stories are structured and function in a precise way that can be understood, replicated, and impact your audience.
All human beings are storytellers. When we think we’re just talking, we are actually telling stories, and story behavior is easy to see when you know what to look for. Knowing how stories behave means understanding how they operate and why audiences, readers, clients—everyone—responds to them.
I provide consultations and feedback about story behavior, structure, and elements, whether you are growing an idea, need feedback on a screenplay or manuscript, or are crafting the story of your brand. I am also available to speak and provide storytelling training.
My hope is to help you understand how stories behave and apply it so your work will feel magical.
